It's pretty late but...

I had dinner with one of my best friends Patisha tonight. As per usual the conversation was great and company even better than that. Michelle, my wife and I both love it when she comes over. I believe that she thinks we spoil her with food and drink but it just how we are with the people we love.

Anyways, here is my response to her request to put more pictures on my blog for her to enjoy and hopefully all of you as well. I am still up at 2:30am trying to figure out how to work this new Canon remote timer that I just got from Just Cameras in Mississauga. I am very happy with my new toy - this should help me with night time time elapsed photography and my still life macro close ups in the studio. I am confident this will make all my shots a lot more clear and sharp in the future. A new toy for me.

Well good night for now, will write more later on.

My dog's name is Maddox...

Here are a few photos of my dog Maddox - my second dog that I have been lucky enough to have share my life. He is a beautiful English Golden Retriever from a breeder in Dundalk, Ontario. These photos were taken during the Canadian International Air Show. With a nice breeze coming off Lake Ontario, the day was beautiful and the sun perfect. The boy is a little over 7 months, has a very big heart and a tail with a mind all of its own. He has developed a habit of tossing his rubber chew bone off the balcony…what are we going to do with him? Anyway, I am sure you will see more photos of him later. Enjoy!

Photos taken with a Canon 50D and a Sigma 70-200mm.

A little about myself....

I am a photographer based out of Toronto and have been living in Canada almost all my life. However, I have been fortunate enough to travel and work around the world. I have always been fascinated with my camera. I have been using it not as a tool, but as a way to a means to collect memories, dreams and the now. I have a beautiful wife Michelle and a puppy named Maddox. They are featured a bit in my photography as they are an important part of my life. My friends, travels and my whimsical side come out in my photography as well. When I was a kid, I took summer art school classes and discovered a passion that I have had ever since. In high school, I had a great art teacher who inspired me to look at the world through my camera lens. I decided to join the camera club and I was immediately hooked. Throughout my travels, family vacations and special events, I always have my camera to capture the memorable moments (something that brings out the essence of the beauty that I keep in my heart). I have always been more comfortable behind the camera as opposed to being in front of it. If you ever saw my resume, photography is always listed as my passion, right next to my love for food and cooking.

I combine my passions for life, adventure and creativity into my photography. I love to take photos of everything imaginable. My specialty is on action oriented photography – motorsports, aviation and special events.

I hope you enjoy this brief introduction to who I am and hopefully come back to visit from time to time to see what is new.

Day One...One step at a time towards my dream

Well here goes nothing. After having been inspired the past weekend at Mosport International Speedway, I Nicholas have decided to commit myself to starting my own phototography studio company.
I am calling it Artography Studios and it's located in Toronto, Ontario. I will be working out of my house for the time being.
Wish me luck.
I will write more soon! I am just in the process of going through about 1500 photos I took with my new camera - Canon 50D.
What I hope to achieve with this blog is to keep a diary of what's going on with me as I endeavour to start this company and the trials and tribulations that I am sure I will encounter.
Enough for now. I will get into more detail as to who I am and why I want to do this later.
:D
